Chicago Web Design offers several free tools among some paid services and adds to the list frequently. Our goal is to have this site and our newsletter be one of your most useful resources. Some of the tools are scripts you can download immediately and use on your own site. Some are tips, like where to find awesome freeware for web design, marketing or promotion tips. So enjoy!

We also send out reviews on software for graphic art, search engine optimizing and business tools. Our newsletter is very down to earth and to the point. There is always something of value included.

We have a few scripts and tools listed below that we will talk about in our newsletter. This may not seem important, but allowing us to walk you through the features and benefits of some of these tools can really help you succeed in whatever area you're struggling with.

Spam Arrest: This service is a lifesaver! If you go to their site, they will show you a demo video to explain how it works... but the main thing is it really stops spam! Check it out.

Push Button Publishing: If you are into Internet Marketing, this site is a must see! Push Button Publishing offers hundreds of scripts, tools, an autoresponder, ad tracker, hosting and more for a small monthly fee.

Roboform: This tool is very cool if you're very active online. It not only keeps track of all of your passwords, it will generate random ones for you as well... and it's free! Be sure to check it out!

Eprompter: This is a great tool for anyone concerned with spam or who has more than one email address. It is a free download and you can access up to 16 email accounts at the same time and view the content of your mail without concern of getting a virus!

Irfanview: This is a free viewer that is SO user friendly, you'll wonder how you ever got by without it! You can manipulate the photographs color, contrast, even gamma in real-time. You can crop & resize pictures, then convert them into several different formats quicker and easier than most graphic programs that cost over a hundred dollars!

Yankee Clipper : This is a handy tool if you do a lot of HTML. It basically allows your clipboard to remember up to 50 actions. So if you are on a site like this with a lot of cool scripts, you can just copy them and go and YC will remember them for you so you can paste them when and where you want!

Xara-X: This vector graphics program has got to be one of the best tools available to graphic artists this century! When you visit their site, be sure to look at some of the artwork that has been done and you will see what I mean... the possibilities are endless!

Web Position Gold: This software takes the top websites in any search engine you pick and compares your website's placement of links, keywords, meta-tags etc., according to that SE's algorithms so that you can achieve sky-high rankings! It has several other features as well like submitting your site the proper number of times to each search engine as well as making optimized sample pages for you.

Hiveware: This tool will help you avoid spam on your site by cloaking your email address. It is becomes readable to your visitors, but not to the spiders that search the web for email addresses on websites to send junk mail to!
