I was early to the internet, seeing it for the first time at Oxford in 1994, building my first web site in 1996 and cruising the south suburbs selling small business web design in 1997 out of the bedroom I grew up in! From the beginning I had a strong sense of quality and a love for sales and consulting, but I quickly realized that building web sites involved multiple skillsets, including skills I didn't personally have! With this in mind, I started Distant Horizon in 1999 in a small apartment in LaGrange, Illinois and never looked back (or down) for fifteen years. In July of 2008 we had 16 full-time employees and went live with 22 web sites in one month. There are bigger web site development firms and there may even be better web site development firms, but you will never find better, more talented and more ethical people than those I've associated myself with at Distant Horizon. I'm proud to say that I am still in touch with almost everyone that has ever worked for me, and I consider our family of staff and "alumni" to be one of the greatest rewards of a lifetime of self-employment.

Over the last several years, I've started and run several additional businesses, and due to my entrepreneurial exploits experienced the Great Recession in all its three dimensional glory. And thank God I did, it kept me from becoming a bore! So here I am now, 42 years old, with 17 years and 700 or so web sites of experience. What I bring to each project is an enthusiasm for your business and an appreciation of what it took to get it where it is today. While strategizing with you about the future, I'll be right with you on passion and drive - but I'll try to watch out for you based on our many past experiences so that your money is well spent and your risks are proportional to the potential rewards.
